Sylvia-Marah Boune is querying agents for her first novel Chosen. Chosen is Urban Fantasy and the first book in a series, set in a world where Demons and Angels are real. Think “Buffy the Vampire Slayer” meets "Wings of Desire."

In book two, Damned, we enter a world of Vampire lore and Ancient Egyptian Mythology. During the last book in the series, Gods & Monsters, we discover the source of magic while traveling to the British Isles and into the realm of Celtic Mythology and the Fair Folk.

In addition to writing speculative fiction, Ms. Boune's nonfiction writing has been featured on Looper and Grunge. Her essays and poetry are featured on Elephant Journal.

Sylvia-Marah Boune grew up in the mountains of Sonoma County and spent her childhood days playing outside and her nights dreaming of fantastical places. When she wasn't designing clothing for Barbie, she was writing stories in manilla composition books.

In high school, she devoured books by L. J. Smith, R.L. Stein, and her personal favorite, Lois Duncan. A fascination with mysteries and the supernatural colored her taste in books. It isn't much of a surprise she became a speculative fiction writer with a penchant for fantasy.

When Sylvia-Marah reached college age, she moved to Santa Cruz, California, where she studied literature, film, creative writing, and history of consciousness, before graduating from UCSC with a B.A. in Modern Literature. 

Sylvia-Marah always wanted to be a writer, but until recently she relegated this desire to her fantasies, believing it unrealistic. 

For 13 years Ms. Boune worked at the bench, as an accomplished goldsmith. Since March 2020, she has been writing and exploring her interest in the wine industry. 

Sylvia-Marah hasn't met a medium of storytelling she doesn't like. Because of this obsession, she is a creative writer, book reviewer. She also wrtes about film, television, and pop culture.

Sylvia-Marah is a nature lover, soul searcher, tarot and astrology enthusiast, voracious reader, photography geek, film fanatic, music lover, beach bum, and proud dog mom.

Ms. Boune is fascinated by history, depth psychology, and dream interpretation. She loves learning about archetypes and mythology and applying this knowledge to her writing. 

She enjoys road trips with her dog riding shotgun, with the music on, windows down, and her hair whipping in the wild air.

She is a child of this planet, a woman in this world, and a citizen of the cosmos.
